ABOUT

RVA EYE GUY: A TRAVELING EYEWEAR BOUTIQUE
Instead of you going to the eyewear shop, the eyewear shop comes to you! I bring hundreds of frames, specialized tools, and years of experience in eyewear sales, manufacturing, and dispensing into your home to create a completely personalized fitting and fashion experience. While we work together, I can give your current glasses and sunglasses the full spa treatment with ultrasonic frame cleansing, thorough lens cleaning, new nose pads, and any adjustments you might need. I can even take your unused glasses and sunglasses for donation to the Lions Club, who provide eyewear to needy people in third world countries.

Treat yourself to the boutique experience! There are many reasons people might not want to go to a store or office to shop. Some people have mobility or transportation issues that may make travel difficult. Some, like my daughter, have sensory issues that can make a crowded location challenging or uncomfortable to navigate. You may want to avoid exposure to contagious illnesses. Or you may just want the unique experience of a one-on-one fashion-and-function-focused consultation from a professional with twenty years of experience. I am also available for special occasions like Bridal and Prom eyewear styling, as well as for group sessions in places such as retirement communities.

BRINGING THE VARIETY YOUR LIFE NEEDS
Having one pair of eyeglasses is like having one pair of shoes. I don’t know about you, but I don’t wear the same pair of shoes for work, church, date night, formal occasions, yardwork, the beach, the mountains, and running (okay, walking) the Monument Avenue 10K. One pair of glasses, like one pair of shoes, might work for a few different applications, but they can’t do everything equally well. Specialized eyewear (or shoes) will make specialized applications work much better.
Some of the various kinds of specialized eyewear I provide include:
-
Polarized sunglasses, particularly for driving and activities near water
-
Computer glasses, which work much better than everyday multifocals in office environments, particularly with multiple monitors
-
“Relief” lenses for people who spend a lot of time on mobile devices
-
Athletic eyewear for sports and outdoor activities
-
Distance-only glasses for critical vision
-
Reading-only glasses for extended up-close applications
-
Shooting glasses for competitive or recreational firearms applications
